Privacy Policy

This explains what Podnight collects, why, and who sees it. The short version: we collect what's needed to run game nights, we don't sell it, and marketing email is always your choice.

What we collect

• Account: your email address, and the name you go by.
• Events you join: your ticket, the age you confirmed, how you'll pay the cover, whether you checked in and paid, where you sat, and your results.
• Decks: the decks and lists you import (from Archidekt, a pasted list or a commander name) and the brackets you declare.
• Surveys: your ratings, tags, answers and comments, and private "play with them again?" thumbs.
• Notifications: if you turn them on, your browser's push address for this site.
• Technical: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, a few preferences stored on your device, and standard server logs.

We don't use advertising trackers.

Who sees what

• Other players at an event you've joined see your name, your table, results and decks (as the event's decklist setting allows). Before you join, nobody sees who else is going. Only counts are shown.
• The organizer's team sees your name, check-in, payment status, decks and results for their events. Owners and organizers (not door staff) also see your email, to run the event and contact you about it.
• Survey answers reach organizers without your name. Pod-mate thumbs aren't shown to anyone.

Email

We send event email you need: sign-in codes, your ticket, waitlist news, reminders and the after-event survey. Marketing email is separate and off unless you opt in, either to Podnight news or to a specific organizer's new events. Organizers can export only the contacts who opted in to their marketing. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can change your choices on your profile.

Services we use

Podnight runs on Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email). Push notifications go through your browser maker's push service. Card data comes from Scryfall, and deck imports from Archidekt. These providers process data only to provide their service to us.

Your choices

• Edit your name and email preferences on your profile.
• Download everything we keep about you from your profile (Download my data).
• Delete your account from your profile. This removes your account, tickets, decks, results and survey answers.
• Turn notifications off in your browser or phone settings at any time.

Kids and teens

Podnight is for ages 13 and up. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app or by email.
